Flat Installed Profile, Black, Semi-Gloss 3/4″ t-molding.

This t-molding was designed to match the flat profile look of t-molding used on classic Atari arcade games. We also paid close attention to try to match the sheen, dimensions and last but not least the quality feel in your hand – which is not the experience you get when buying the cheap plastic-like product from some other vendors.

Description

Black, 3/4″ t-molding was used on a number of classic arcade games including many games released by Atari. This t-molding is not limited to Atari games and could be used on other games that used 3/4″ flat t-molding.

This particular product has a flat profile when installed, vs. a slightly convex profile like the t-molding available from common sources like Arcadeshop, T-Molding.com and TwistedQuarter.com. This flat profile t-molding is a reproduction product engineered to be a close match to the size and sheen of the original t-molding used on Atari games – and is not re-sold by any other vendor

Important! There are slight variances in sizes between different arcade games (i.e. 720 vs. Millipede) as well as tmolding used for the same game, but different machines (i.e. Food Fight). Using input from collectors and samples provided, this variation for 3/4″ t-molding on original games can fall between .73″-.78″, nearly .05″ of a variance.

The t-molding sold here will be a hair larger than 3/4″ wide – the width will fall between .76-.78″. This is intentional, and was designed using feedback directly from customers like you to best cover the molding channel and accounting for some board expansion over 40+ years.

However we always recommend potential customers to take some time to measure the width of the t-molding on your game to get a general feel of whether your current tmolding is wider, or more narrow than 3/4″ before making your t-molding order.

Other details about this t-molding:

  • Reproduced using several different original factory samples from Atari games
  • Width is 3/4″
  • Flexible PVC Material
  • Centered Barb
  • Semi-Gloss Finish
  • There may be a slight variance in width for this product, no more than .02″

What length of tmolding do I need for my Atari game?

Generally speaking, 40 feet of tmolding should cover most old Atari games with ~5 feet extra – just in case.

Below is some feedback from customers on which arcade game they’re restoring and the length of tmolding they’ve verified works on their machine:

Game Manufacturer Length of Tmolding (Feet)
